Meet Our Passionate Veterinarians
Jody Bondurant
DVM
Dr. Jody grew up in Sicily Island, LA, but went to DeRidder High School (’96) when his dad was serving in the army and stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. He is a 2000 graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe (NLU) and a 2004 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jody has interests in small animal dermatology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and urgent / critical care.
He is active in the community, supporting his family and friends sporting and service events. He was appointed by the governor, and he served a 5 year appointment on the Louisiana State Board of Veterinary Medicine that ended in 2023. In his off time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling. He has 1 son, Adam, and 2 daughters, Anna, and Aimee. He also has 3 dogs: Orea, Prissy, and GG…. and 1 cat: Kevin-Leo.
Jason Farrell
DVM
His veterinary career path began when he graduated, with honors, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1998.
After S.L.U., Dr. Farrell attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine receiving his D.V.M in 2002. He practiced on the northshore of Louisiana for 7 yrs before opening his first veterinary hospital in 2009 and his second in 2017.
He sold both his hospitals and started at Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency in February 2023. Dr. Farrell was also a part time instructor at S.L.U. for several years after graduating vet school.
